GIVE TO TEACHING FELLOWS
Teaching Fellows Gave Me My Life Back
Farmersville, CA Teaching Fellow tutor Gary, shares his challenges of being a caretaker for siblings at a young age and putting his dreams on the back burner for so many years. After meeting his breaking point, Gary found CTFF and The Dream Initiative. A year later, Gary is now working at the main CTFF office as the foundation's Office Coordinator. He has discovered his passion for teaching and is also enrolled in college, he feels that CTFF “has given [him his] life back.”
By giving to CTFF, you are supporting tens of thousands of future educators and leaders who serve over 50,000 K-12 pupils each day. Many Teaching Fellows face challenges and barriers on their journey to becoming an educator. With your help, we are able to provide the professional development, personal development, and financial support they need to reach their full potential and, in turn, positively impact the youth in our community. Thank you for your support; every dollar makes a difference!
HOW TO SUPPORT NEXT-GENERATION LEADERS
Support future teachers of the Central Valley through our Teaching Fellows Scholarship Program. Scholarship recipients join a cohort of future educators and receive professional development, experiential learning, and funds to aid their higher education journey. Over the last decade, CTFF has provided more than $1M in scholarships benefiting 500 Teaching Fellows in the Central Valley. Hundreds of these scholarship recipients are teachers and leaders in our local schools.
Give toward our current greatest need by selecting general funds and continue to inspire the next-generation of leaders with a passion for teaching and learning while impacting the lives of youth.
You can also give a gift by donating through Venmo. Open the Venmo app and search @TeachingFellows. Enter your donation amount and in the notes section, include where you want your gift to go. Our 5 main allocations are Scholarships, The Care Fund, The Dream Initiative, Professional Development, or General Funds. Thank you for your support!
The Care Fund is an emergency fund for Teaching Fellows experiencing unexpected hardships such as food insecurity, clothing insecurity, fires, and homelessness. A gift to the care fund helps keep Teaching Fellows on track and pointed towards graduation
Annually, Teaching Fellows receive 40 hours of paid professional development and training through specialized workshops in classroom management, mandated reporting, social-emotional learning, STEM, and so much more. Collectively, CTFF contributes nearly 50,000 hours a year of professional development and training to Teaching Fellows who work with youth daily. CTFF partners with local, regional, statewide and national leaders and presenters to deliver high quality and relevant topics and training. This undertaking comes at a cost of approximately $750k annually to our organization, but the benefits are immeasurable. .
The Dream Initiative provides Teaching Fellows, many of whom are first-generation college students, with personal development through one-on-one life coaching, life skills workshops (ex. first time home buying, budgeting and saving, fitness and nutrition), CBEST/CSET preparation and more.
